Elizabeth Krzewski, who works in our west office, is a doctor of counselor education and supervision, a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), a certified addiction professional (CAP), a nationally certified counselor (NCC), a distance credentialed counselor (DCC), an approved clinical supervisor (ACS), and a qualified supervisor for both mental health counselors and marriage and family therapists in the state of Florida.
Dr. Krzewski recently completed her doctorate degree with her dissertation entitled "Counselors' Shared Experiences Working with Sexually Reactive Youth: An Exploratory Study." She coauthored and published field experience in an online setting in "The Student Handbook for Online Counselor Education." She has given presentations about trauma, sexual abuse and reactive attachment disorder, and about understanding the changes in the DSM 5. Dr. Krzewski is the past president and program coordinator of Chi Sigma Iota.
Dr. Krzewski's areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, addictions, sexual abuse, including perpetrator populations, trauma, bereavement, surgical weight loss, self-esteem and image concerns, stress, coping skills, career and education, wellness, and military life.
Dr. Krzewski has worked in a variety of settings, including in-home, intensive outpatient, in-patient, and residential settings. She has worked with individuals, families, and groups.
