Natasha Schmitt-Robinson is a licensed clinical social worker who joined Bradenton Counseling Center in September 2020. She sees clients in the office and online.
Natasha specializes in individual therapy for adults seeking treatment for chronic health/chronic pain issues, oncology, trauma and PTSD, insomnia, anxiety, depression, caregiver support and life transition issues. Natasha utilizes different treatment modalities and interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and mindfulness based cognitive therapy.
Natasha is especially sympathetic to working with clients regarding chronic pain and oncology, since she has experienced her family’s struggles with these issues and has been a caregiver for a loved one. Natasha understands the complexities that these stresses can bring to clients and their families and friends and is able to provide support for her clients through these challenging times.
Natasha received her master’s degree in social work (MSW) from Loyola University Chicago in 2005. She was licensed as a social worker in Illinois for 10 years before moving to Florida and obtaining her license here in 2020 (# SW 17428).
Natasha has been supporting clients in various capacities since 2005. Her post-graduate experience started in the UK where she worked with vulnerable populations in the community and arranged home care for them. After she returned to the U.S., Natasha worked in community mental health and in a private practice in Illinois before moving to Florida
