Tara Altman, MSW, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker who sees clients online. Tara specializes in individual counseling for adults seeking treatment for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, chronic pain, relationship issues, PTSD, adjustment issues, and grief. Tara uses different treatment modalities in her work, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy.
Tara received her MSW degree in social work from the University of South Florida in 2008 and her Florida license as an LCSW (#SW 11972) in 2016.
Tara has been helping clients improve their lives for 10 years. Before joining Bradenton Counseling Center in December 2018, Tara worked with adults at the VA hospital, Catholic Charities Rehabilitation Center, and at a private physician’s practice. She has worked with seniors in their homes through home health companies and with children in their homes or schools through mental health agencies.
Tara cofacilitated domestic violence groups at The Haven of RCS as a volunteer and worked with victims of domestic violence.
Tara enjoys working in a private practice where she can focus on individualized treatment with her clients.
