My name is Judy Wiggins, MSW, LCSW. I’m originally from the Southwest suburbs of Chicago and have been in the Bradenton/Sarasota area for 10 years. I have over 26 years of extensive experience working with children ages 7 – 18, adults, couples, women, and older individuals. I have worked in school settings, non-profits & community agencies, as well as private therapy offices.
In my therapeutic practice I use a variety of modalities that include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Grief Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Communication Skills. I also utilize Talk Therapy and teach various techniques to promote relaxation and to reduce anxiety and stress.
In my free time I enjoy listening to music, golfing, reading, hiking, being in nature, and practicing yoga and meditation. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, as well as traveling.
During these very challenging times, it is my desire to provide a safe and sacred space for my clients to explore their lives, and to find meaningful and effective ways to overcome stress and anxiety in their daily lives, jobs, and relationships.
